Job description

Do you have hands-on experience in machinery maintenance, electrical systems, or industrial

safety?

Do you enjoy solving practical technical challenges and working directly with customer teams on

site?

Within Brady Corporation, our dedicated LoTo Safety Services business unit specialises in

hazardous energy control and safety solutions. While Brady delivers a broad portfolio of

identification and safety solutions globally, our specialized services team partners directly with

industry leaders on site to protect what matters most: keeping workers safe, preventing

accidents, and eliminating hazardous energy risks

on the plant floor.

The Field Safety Engineer EMEA serves as the technical field safety expert and customer-facing

representative of Brady on client sites across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Site LoTo Discovery: Walk through customer plants to assess layouts, review machine safety, and agree on equipment in scope.
  • Machinery Data Capture: Trace, photograph, and document all energy sources (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, thermal, and chemical) on equipment.
  • LINK360 Authoring & Approval: Draft visual procedures in Brady’s LINK360 software, incorporate customer feedback, and secure final approval.
  • Physical Tagging & Installation: Print, mount, and install durable placards and labels/tags at machine isolation points.
  • Client Audits & Training: Train customer staff on safe isolation practices and software usage, and audit existing LOTO compliance.
  • Safety Solutions: Recommend complementary safety hardware, custom shadow boards, padlocks, lockout devices, or other Brady products

Due to the travel required for the role, we are open to candidates with a different

geographical base in the UK, provided you have reliable access to transport links and are

comfortable with a mobile working pattern.

Your Skills:

  • Technical Background: Bachelor’s degree in electro-mechanical/electrical engineering or industrial safety rules, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years in industrial maintenance, automation, machine commissioning, or machinery safety. Comfortable working hands-on around electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems in active manufacturing environments.
  • Certifications: Holding any recognized electrical (e.g., BA4/BA5, NEN 3140, NF C 18-510, DGUV V3, BS 7671) or safety credential (e.g., VCA-VOL, Prevention Advisor, IOSH, NEBOSH, CMSE) is an asset.
  • Languages & Communication: Good interpersonal skills with fluent English.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel (>50% travel) and a valid driver's license.
