About the role

Career Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Systems Engineering, the System Safety Engineer will play a key role in strengthening and evolving GeoSpectrum’s system safety practices.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of our delivered products by applying system‑level safety principles across both hardware and software domains.

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks, helping to ensure mission success in demanding operational environments.

This position is well‑suited to someone with strong knowledge of industry safety standards—particularly MIL‑STD‑882E—and experience supporting safety‑critical systems within the defense, marine, or aerospace sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing organization while contributing to the safety and performance of complex, real‑world systems.

Over three decades, our core values have shaped a supportive and creative environment that emphasizes employee engagement, technical excellence, and strong customer relationships.

  • Actively contribute to the product lifecycle by preparing and delivering safety‑focused presentations and participating in design reviews, test readiness reviews, technical interchange meetings, and internal and customer‑facing safety working groups.
  • Ensure system safety documentation aligns with customer expectations and contractual requirements, supporting successful program execution and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with systems engineering teams to identify hazards and define Safety Functional Requirements early in the design process.

  • Play a key role in advancing and strengthening the organization’s System Safety processes, tools, and best practices.
