Functional Safety Engineer - ADAS

Valeo is a leading supplier of components and systems for the world's automakers. In our R&D (Research & Development) Center in Prague we develop Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for intelligent cars.

We are looking for a FUNCTIONAL SAFETY ENGINEER, who will perform functional safety activities for next generation of sensors for comfort and driving assistance systems (e.g. Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Automatic light activation, etc.).

YOUR CHALLENGES?

• Ensure compliance of product and process with ISO 26262 and other relevant functional safety standards
• Perform functional safety activities on projects in compliance with Valeo methodology: Safety Planning, Safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, Reliability), Safety Concepts, Safety Validation & Verification, Safety Case
• Support the hardware and software teams for implementation of the safety requirements + verification of the correct implementation
• Interface with the customer in the project meetings and reviews, ensuring customer satisfaction regarding functional safety
  
  

Let´s Talk About You

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Cybernetics or equivalent
• Knowledge of ISO26262 or IEC61508
• Knowledge of Hazard Analysis, FTA/FMEA and experience with implementation of Safety integrity levels
• Experience in Embedded System, Hardware or Software design
• English language - fluent
• Knowledge of SOTIF (Safety Of The Intended Functionality), Safety & AI is an advantage
• A systematic and open-for-challenges mindset, a high level of accountability and self-motivation
