Lead Safety Architect - Autonomous Vehicles

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Safety Architect - Autonomous Vehicles to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will shape safety architecture and requirements for autonomous vehicle systems, with a strong focus on enabling continuous, safe software delivery. You will partner closely with perception, AI, and safety architecture experts to strengthen safety metrics, analysis, and readiness across the development lifecycle.

The position also emphasizes improving the processes and tools that support data-driven safety evaluation, while clearly communicating findings and recommendations to colleagues and leadership.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $224,000 – $356,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-functional initiatives to define safety architecture and requirements for autonomous vehicles
• Deliver safety concepts and analysis for continuous and safe software deliveries
• Define and improve safety metrics in collaboration with perception, AI, and safety architecture experts
• Improve processes and tools for safety analysis and data-driven evaluation
• Share safety analysis and readiness results with colleagues and management
  
  

Qualifications

• MS or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of relevant industry experience
• Structured approach to systems and software development
• Proven record in leading multi-functional efforts in architecture, development, or verification
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
