  • Act as the senior authority on machinery safety standards (e.g. Machinery Directive/Regulation, UKCA/CE marking, relevant IEC/EN standards) both internally and with customers, distributors and regulators.
  • Create content and deliver first-class training on B11 to educate the wider workforce on machinery safety related standards
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) activity, ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are designed in from concept through to launch.
  • Support the development of a Fortress training academy proposition
  • Partner with Product Management and Marketing to translate technical and regulatory content into accessible, engaging customer-facing training materials
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) activity, ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are designed in from concept through to launch

What You'll Bring

  • Proven machinery safety standards knowledge and application expertise within machinery safety, industrial automation, EHS, product compliance or a related regulated engineering environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience as an effective trainer with the ability to make the complex simple
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance
  • A meticulous approach, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • The ability to lead and influence without formal authority
  • A university degree or equivalent experience gained on the job in engineering, health & safety, or a related discipline; relevant professional certification (e.g. CMSE, NEBOSH) desirable.
